DESIGN SOLUTIONS
Kathy’s client loved the suggestion of a neutral color palette playing up the hues from the stone walls and incorporating soft and varying textures to soften and warm the space. A large sectional in a beautiful, textured velvet and chairs upholstered in soft Sherpa-like fabric added visual interest and softness, creating a cozy gathering area.
The oversized cocktail table of grained wood and metal accents created additional interest and functionality. A large, graceful chandelier helped with the scale of the room without feeling heavy.
Motorized solar shades added to the large bank of windows addressed the needed mid-day sun control. Embroidered fabric drapery panels and cornices helped to unify the upper and lower windows into one large window.
Christmas tree placement is designed for under the grand staircase requiring minimal furniture movement.
Kathy’s clients have family and friends visiting often and this beautiful room is a favorite, warm and cozy gathering spot.
