Beyond Beige

Kathy’s clients were building a much larger new home and wanted it to be completely different from their old home. Due to the scope of the project, the homeowners knew professional decorating was needed to achieve their vision.

Project Overview:

As studs became walls and walls became rooms, Kathy’s clients had a difficult time envisioning the space and felt overwhelmed with the task at hand. To get started, Benjamin Moore 954 Spring in Aspen was selected in keeping with the homeowners desire for neutral wall color throughout the home.

Beyond Beige

Two beautiful, yet durable, light blue velvet sofas were selected as the main seating, flanked by two inviting swivel chairs in a pretty cream, blue, and green medallion print that the homeowner loved. The swivel chairs were Selected for their versatility, allowing for seating and conversation in both the great room and the adjacent kitchen. A bright green rug and beautiful cocktail table anchor the room. The custom cocktail table was designed to be the proper scale for the seating area and has space for two ottomans to be neatly tucked away. A gorgeous marble and silver branch sofa table greets you as you walk into the room, which is visible from the front door.

A large 5’ mirrored clock, which can be admired from the second story overlook, was selected for above the stone fireplace. Oversized artwork and accessories were selected to fill the large, open space. Beautiful side panels and decorative Roman shades in blue and green were added to the French doors, still allowing for openness and light.
