Statement Foyer

The main focus at the start of this project was to transform an outdated grand foyer into a wow entryway! Changes included installing new 24 x 24 ceramic tile, and changing the white wood stair rods to black iron with a birdcage design. The wood steps were stained in a dark finish for a more modern look. To add architectural flair, the walls were boxed using picture molding, and then painted the same wall color.

Project Overview:

To draw the eye up, the ceiling was painted in a darker color with white trim. A new 3-tier crystal chandelier replaced the outdated fixture. A window in the landing is treated with a scalloped edge panel drapery of white silk with crystal highlights. A dark gray silk highlights the outer edges. Simple chrome hardware with crystal finials complete the look of the window treatments. A wool rug in gray and white flank the staircase. Matching walnut pedestals with white urns guard the arch landing into the dining room.
