Collegeville is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania with a population of 5,089 and was incorporated in 1896. The village was originally known as Perkiomen Bridge and later as Freeland. The Historical Society was founded in 1964 to help preserve local historic sites, to expand knowledge and understanding of history, and to share that knowledge with the community for Trappe, Collegeville and Perkiomen Valley.
